ABOUT US
Companies are always under pressure to reduce maintenance costs without sacrificing quality. The best way to save money is to re-use repairable parts. This form of high-quality recycling typically costs less than 30% of the price of a new part. This can save companies millions of dollars which can be passed on to their customers and so on.

Experience

The company was started in 2010 by Mr. Kornitzky and Mr. Galel using their engineering and aircraft experience to develop the processes and equipment to overhaul bearings.

The overhaul process was based on the Military Specification (Mil-Spec). The Mil-Spec was created by the Military working with the Manufacturers and created a detailed process to overhaul bearings. The manufacturer's maintenance manuals are used as well.

There was a lot of time spent working with the FAA to make sure the overhaul process was up to safety standards before approval was given. When FAA approval was given EASA certification was then given.

The company grew to make a huge impact on the aviation bearing overhaul industry as well as the new bearing manufacturing. In 2017 Aerobearings moved into the Industrial Gas Turbine industry since they used small aircraft engines to create power.

In 2018 the FAA revoked Aerobearings certification to work on aircraft bearings. They didn't agree with the wording on the 8130 that certifies the overhaul of each bearing. In 2019 the 5th Appellate Court ruled that Aerobearings certificate is suspended and not revoked. The FAA is now deciding on a new format for the 8130 that will affect maintenance facilities around the world.

As Aerobearings was fighting for their FAA certification reinstatement they moved forward in developing testing and clean line equipment and manufacturing of bearings. The future sees us overhauling wind turbine planetary bearings.
